Mopanie cruise to opening win
Steinhoff Mopanie got their 2012 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships campaign off to the perfect start with a 42-8 triumph over Steinhoff Monitor on Monday.
The home side, from TUT, battled to deal with the physicality of the Mopanie forwards and were muscled off the ball on a few occasions.
Mopanie, who hail from nearby UP-Tuks, played with a lot of passion and raced into the lead with a dominant first-half performance.
Having secured the bonus point, Mopanie then took the foot off the gas and Monitor were rewarded for some creative play with a consolation try.
