No holds barred at TUT camp
FNB TUT have returned from a very physical pre-Varsity Cup training camp that separated the boys from the men.

Without a shortage of opposition for a friendly match the TUT Vikings headed out on a training camp in Toppies Hoek near the Hartebeespoort Dam to prepare for the 2012 FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International.
Coach Deon Boardman returned home very pleased with what he'd seen and confident that the side are on the right track.
"The camp was fantastic and we achieved what we wanted to and have established the leadership structure in the team," he told varsitycup.co.za.
"It was a very physical camp and we were on the field for about ten hours a day, so it was tough."
At the camp Johan Pieterse was confirmed as the captain, taking over from Wikus Botes - who remains one of the leaders in the side.
The coach was disappointed not to have had a pre-season friendly lined up last weekend, and was forced to have internal contact sessions at the camp.
"It was a very physical contest between our whole group and the guys were really getting stuck into each other," he said.
"I eventually had to stop the game about 20 minutes early because it was getting so physical.
"At TUT we don't have the depth of some of the bigger varsities have, so we can't afford a whole bunch of injuries before the season even starts."
Boardman explained that he understood the players were out to prove they were the best in their position, but was relieved not to have any serious injuries.
The side were also able to bond away from the training pitch on the camp and will now focus on their first official pre-season match against fellow Carlton League campaigners, Harlequins, on Saturday.
