Pieterse in charge for TUT
Hooker Johan Pieterse will lead the TUT Vikings into battle against the fearsome Maties in their 2012 FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International opener.
Travelling to Stellenbosch is probably the toughest job in the Varsity Cup, but the Men from Tshwane have nothing to lose in this first-round encounter.
New head coach Deon Boardman has the advantage of some experienced campaigners in his backline - like Ruan van Loo (left-wing) and Hansie Graaff (flyhalf) - whilst former captain Wikus Botes will also provide plenty of leadership alongside his new captain, Pieterse.
