No Simonsberg in Maties SFs
Fans of Maties' Steinhoff Koshuis League are bracing themselves for two epic encounters as the league's top four sides ready themselves for battle in their semifinal clashes on Thursday.

The sides played their final league games last week and after the dust had settled, and all the points were tallied up, the league's semifinalists were revealed - Steinhoff Dagbreek, Steinhoff Helderberg, Steinhoff Helshoogte and Steinhoff PSO Barbarians.
There was no place, however, for Steinhoff Simonsberg - Stellenbosch's representatives in the 2011 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships and eventual runners-up to Pukke side, Steinhoff Patria in that competition.
In the absence of Simonsberg, runaway log leaders, Steinhoff Dagbreek, are the favourites heading into the Last Four. They will play the Steinhoff PSO Barbarians, who finished fourth in the league.
Dagbreek have been in rampant form throughout the competition and have dispatched every single opponent they have faced, to end up with eleven victories and a proud undefeated record.
Their opponents, PSO Barbarians, are coming off a win against Steinhoff Helshoogte and will be looking to do what no other side has managed in league play and defeat Dagbreek. It would also go a long way to soothe the pains of the 0-22 hammering they suffered at Dagbreek's hands earlier in the season.
The second semifinal will see Steinhoff Helderberg take on Steinhoff Helshoogte.
The two sides have the second and third best records, respectively, from their eleven league games.
Both sides, though, suffered defeats in their last game; Helderberg, however, lost by a single point.
Maties' Steinhoff Koshuisrugby semifinal fixtures:
(Thursday, September 22)
Steinhoff Dagbreek v Steinhoff PSO Barbarians, 5pm
Steinhoff Helderberg v Steinhoff Helshoogte, 5pm
