Monitor the top dogs at TUT

Monitor successfully defended their TUT Steinhoff Koshuis title when they convincingly beat Steinhoff Magalies 22-16 in the final on Thursday night.

The star players for Steinhoff Monitor were captain and flyhalf Dewald Geldenhuys, who scored a brilliant try in the first half to take his team into a 15-6 half-time lead.

In the second half, Monitor scored a converted try to lead the game 22-6 with 15 minutes to go. To their credit, Steinhoff Magalies came back with a try and a penalty to make the score 22-16 with five minutes of play left... but it was too little too late.

Steinhoff Monitor's star players were Man of the Match Dewald Geldenhuys and Player of the Tournament, flanker Themba Vuyo Raselomane. Flyhalf Ewald Meiring came to the party with a brilliant kicking display for Steinhoff Magalies.
