And then there were four...

Monday at UJ saw not only the beginning of August, but the next round of Steinhoff Koshuisrugby, as many of the teams squared-off at their chance of securing semifinal spots with eight teams - across two leagues - booking their Last Four places.

Table leaders Bastion were able to overcome Kanniedood by 25-5. With both teams scoring one try each, it was Bastion's effective goalkicking that gave them the edge over their worthy opponents.

Majuba ran in four tries against DFC who sit in the lower half of the log after the week's results. The 21-12 win for Majuba saw them sneak into the semifinals, although they will have to play Bastion next week in the Last Four.

In the second division, Bastion 2 took on Kanniedood 2 and came out on tops with a 15-0 win, while Soweto took a bitter-sweet win over Afslaan as they were unable to field enough players.

Chiros - who ended top of the second division - wrapped up their match with a 22-3 win of Vorendag, which put an end to the evening's fixtures.
