Disappointing day for Wits
FNB Wits travelled to a chilly Rustenburg on Saturday and failed to win a single match against Impala, with the first team going down 19-25 in a hard-fought Pirates Grand Challenge battle.

With most students busy with exams at the moment, Wits had to scrape the barrel to field strong teams and it showed as the club had a day they would rather forget in the difficult conditions.
Powerful lock Charles Baggott scored the only try for the Wits first team, with the rest of the points coming from the boot of Kyle Peyper who took his points haul to 138 for the season.
Wits take on Raiders next week in another away fixture and the students will be keen to bounce back after the disappointing trip to Rustenburg.

First team: Impala 25 Wits 19
Second team: Impala 20 Wits 17
Third team: Impala 34 Wits 24
