Wits cling onto outside hope
With only three rounds left of the 2011 Predator League, FNB Wits First XV have a very slight outside chance of making it into the semifinals.

In their next match, the students will face Roodepoort at Wits and the last two matches will be away against Alberton and Union, respectively.
These are three teams which Wits beat in the first round, so they will be hoping for the same results in order to get into the semifinals with the maximum 53 log points they can still get.
They will also hope that Rustenburg Impala, who are currently on 47 log points in fourth position, do not get more than five points from their remaining three matches against Pirates, Alberton and Roodepoort.
Meanwhile, the Wits Second XV are currently in fourth position, four points clear of Pirates in fifth and the students still have a game in hand.
If Wits' Under-21s beat Roodepoort tomorrow evening, they will be secured of their semifinal spot. The Wits U19s, however, still have a lot to do to get into the semifinals as they are in fifth place at present, ten points behind Union who are in fourth. Union have only two matches left, against FNB UJ and FNB Wits.
In order for the U19s to make it into the play-offs, they need to win all three their remaining matches (one of them against Union) and hope that the the UJ U19s beat Union.

Friday, August 12: v Roodepoort (at Wits)
Friday, August 19: v Alberton (at Alberton)
