Wits semifinals shaping up

On Wednesday evening in the Steinhoff Wits Interfaculty Super Six competition, we had some great results which left the log standings looking very exciting with one round to go before the semifinals.

Steinhoff Engineers brought Steinhoff Humanities' unbeaten record of 18 matches to a halt by beating them 16-9 in a closely-contested encounter. The win keeps Steinhoff Engineers in second position with a game in hand over log leaders Steinhoff Humanities.

Steinhoff Monash almost caused a huge upset over Steinhoff Medics but unfortunately lost 5-0 to the doctors.

Steinhoff Masakhane also came close to causing an upset but their goalkicking let them down after scoring three tries against Steinhoff Commerce. Steinhoff Commerce recorded a 17-15 win which keeps their semifinal hopes alive.
