With the 2023 FNB Varsity Shield competition now underway, all participating university teams are getting the chance to showcase their involvement in making a difference in the lives of their communities with the #ShowUs campaign.

Defending champions FNB UFH chose to partner with the Gqumashe Adult Home, an education centre in the Amathole District Municipality in the Eastern Cape.
According to UFH club manager Mihlalikazi Rodolo they realised the home lacked the funds to do much-needed maintenance. The university then embarked on a mission to give the facility a new look with some cleaning and a fresh coat of paint while at the same time also distributing additional funds.
“It is important to teach the students at UFH to do something good for their elders,” said Rodolo.
Varsity Cup is also calling on fans to take on the challenge and #ShowUs how you are choosing to lead the way to change in South Africa. Tag us in your social media posts and #ShowUs what you have done to make a positive impact in your community.
