Prizes R1,000 to one selected winner for every week of the FNB Varsity Cup Fans That Rock competition including the women's tournament. The promoter is: FNB Varsity Cup. 4. The competition is open to residents of South Africa except for employees of FNB Varsity Cup and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. 5. The Heat Is Back On with the exhilarating return of the Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge NEXT PREVIOUS Competition 02 Mar 2023 Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge 2024 Varsity Cup Cheerleaders That Rock The Heat Is Back On with the exhilarating return of the Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge The Heat Is Back On in the 2024 FNB Varsity Cup, and this year promises an exhilarating return of the Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge where students from universities across South Africa are once again uniting to cheer on their teams in the country's premier university rugby competition! Anticipation is reaching new heights as the 2024 season revives the Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge, bringing fan engagement to a whole new level. In the inaugural competition last year it was the UCT cheerleading squad who were crowned winners with UWC and Tuks the first and second runners-up. This year all 16 Varsity Cup and Varsity Shield universities are back igniting a fierce yet friendly competition among the spirited squads. Every squad is set to once again showcase their talent at home games throughout the season. Each squad is tasked with capturing their standout performance and submitting it to the judges overseeing the Cheerleaders That Rock by April 8, 2024 and the winners will be announced the day of the final on 26 April. Judging honors will be conducted by the esteemed South Africa Majorettes and Cheerleading Association and Gymnastics South Africa along with fans of both the FNB Varsity Cup and FNB Varsity Shield who will have their say via public voting to determine the overall winners. In 2024 in-stadium fans can also expect to be more involved by bringing a unique cheer or war cry to the Cheerleaders That Rock Challenge!
